Our Mission
The JR Watts Foundation was established to honor JR’s wish to support individuals living with ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases. Our mission is to assist patients in Oklahoma by providing essential equipment, supplies, and technology that enhance the patient’s ability to perform daily activities. With guidance from Medical Providers and Professionals, the Foundation provides items that support patients in their daily living such as assistance in dressing, eating, communicating, transferring, and sleeping.
Many of the items we purchase are not covered by, or are limited by, Medicare and insurance, often placing a financial strain on patients and their families. As a fully volunteer-run organization with no paid staff, money donated goes directly toward helping those in need.
